Rita Ora says she did not intend to offend anyone with her new song "Girls", which served to release information that she is bisexual.
Some singers and musicians reacted through social networks saying that Rita Ora's lyrics were "harmful", while the world-famous Albanian singer reacted by saying she never intended to offend the LGBT community.
"'Girls' is written to tell my truth and is a true and honest experience of my life. I have had romantic relationships with women and men throughout my life and this is my personal journey. I'm sorry that the way I was told has hurt anyone. I would never intentionally do it to anybody, "she wrote on Twitter adding that her art wants to show herself and strengthen her fans to feel proud of herself.
"I have been constantly trying to contribute to the LGBT community throughout my career and will continue to be," she said.
The song, which is the collaboration of Rita with Bebe Rexha, Cardi B and Charli XCX, was criticized by those who believe that the same sex ties were underestimated.
Hayley Kiyoko, American singer, criticized Rita for the phrase "Sometimes, I want to kiss women / Red wine, I just want to kiss women," saying that this sentence was hurt because "it should not be to drink wine to kiss females".
